Social Justice Initiatives

The extenuation of Jim Crow through the war on drugs has led to unfair and prejudiced enforcement of drug laws. For decades people (particularly minorities) have been sent to jail for enjoying cannabis the way we are free to consume it today. The Last Prisoner Project is dedicated to expunge the records of those incarcerated and bring social justice to the communities most impacted. With our community’s help, Maine Cannabis Exchange contributes to the Last Prisoner Project. We have collection boxes at our stores and encourage donations.
