Leaning Tower of Jars.
If your house looks anything like the photo above...well first, thank you, thank you so much for supporting us! We are so grateful for our amazing customers and loyal regulars!! Second, we hear you...what to do you do with all the leftover jars?
We are not taking them back at this time because of COVID and other logistical blah, blah, blahs, but again, we do thank you for thinking of us and for not wanting to just toss into the trash! So what to do with our little glass friends collecting dust and taking up shelf space… two options: recycle or reuse (or get crafty)!
Recycle!
General speaking…If you take your recycling out to the road each week simply place your jars loose into the recycling bin, lids are also able to be recycled. I was worried at first that the loose glass tossing around my blue bin could potentially be dangerous for the employees collecting my items, but according to the city of Portland recycling center, loose is best.
If you bring your trash to the transfer station...Simply set your jars aside and bring to the proper location at your towns recycling center, the earth says thank you!
Since we do have a lot of customers that do come from all over our beautiful state…you may have a different type of recycling program or protocol.
So….I spoke with a very sweet woman who works for the city of Portland recycling program, she told me that ecomaine.org is where anyone can find information about all things proper recycling in Maine for your town or city..plus it really is just a cool website to check out!
Reuse...
For my ambitious ones...let’s get crafty!
More cute gift Ideas…even if you’re making yourself a gift.
